Amelia's Name Revealed!

This was my first shot at uploading a video (or working in iMovie), so there's no soundtrack or credits or anything like that - but the moment is so sweet, you don't need it!

Finally, Kristie and I end the torture we've been subjecting everyone to as we tried to decide on a name. (We should really be ashamed!) But the wait was worth it.

First postage for the babes...

Amelia got her first mail on Friday (she's gotten a lot of amazing gifts, but this was the first package that came through with her name on the address label!). A beautiful stroller blanket from her Aunt Andrea.

A trio of super-cute vases from Hubbel, Tina and family!

A gorgeous boquet of pink roses from Meg and Jim Brantley!

First visitor at home!

Jane Hood came by for a visit (well, two visits)! It's love at first sight!

Welcome Amelia!

After 17 hours of labor (and then, a c-section), we welcomed Amelia into the world at 3.45 am. on Thursday, January 10th, 2008. Some pictures from her first couple of days!

After a long wait, Stephanie and the grandparents get their first view of Amelia when they clean her up (at this point, she's about three minutes old).

Jamie holds the new little person just before they leave the hospital, swaddled in the pink blanket Grandma Wallis knitted for the occasion

Ready for her close-up, not particularly pleased about it.

Second visitors to the hospital with Sumie and Brian!

Baby was a little jaundiced, so she got to sleep on a blue light. Tron baby!

Nice. Now there's a good looking family.

Snuggled up with loving Grandpa Magnotta

We kept everybody in ridiculous suspense, until we settled on a name! (shameful)!

Decked out in hospital freebies (you know we took all that home!)

Relaxing with her ridiculously photogenic Aunt Stephanie

Cradled by proud Grandad Wallis
